Santa Barbara resident Susan Trescher left over $1 million to the Domestic Violence Solutions of Santa Barbara County upon her death last year. Her donation is the largest in the organization’s 37-year history.
Trescher’s gift will go into the Domestic Violence Solutions endowment fund at the Santa Barbara Foundation, said foundation spokesperson Jessica Tade. With the new gift, the fund will continue to grow, providing essential stability and ensuring Domestic Violence Solutions’ ability to deliver core services even in challenging economic times, Tade went on.
